Opposite of Fear Both Faith and Love

If the opposite of fear is both faith and love, this points to a connection between the power of faith and love. I much prefer the peace I feel from God’s love than the fear I feel from men. I feel like I am sinking into a mire of unhappiness and hopelessness when I allow the fears of men to immerse me.

The opposite of fear is both faith and love.  The opposite of fear is faith. The opposite of fear is love.

Connection Between Faith and Love

If the opposite of fear is both faith and love, this points to a connection between the power of faith and love.  This helped me to understand that faith works through the spirit and the spirit is love. I much prefer the peace I feel from God’s love than the fear I feel from men.  I feel like I am sinking into a mire of unhappiness and hopelessness when I allow the fears of men to dominate me.  I am quietly ignoring men and looking to heaven to heal through faith that works through the spirit and His spirit is love.

How do I Borrow Love from God

Because the opposite of fear is both faith and love, it is enlightening to understand as we grow in love, we are also growing in faith.  It pleases God when we ask to borrow his love so we can heal and attain more faith, joy, and peace.  So the question is,  “How do I borrow His Love from Him?” The scriptures say to cry to Him.  So I started having genuine, heartfelt conversations with God as though he is my best friend.

Book of Mormon scripture about crying unto the Lord

….And they all cried aloud with one voice, saying: O have mercy, and apply the atoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be purified; for we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who created heaven and earth, and all things; who shall come down among the children of men.  After they had spoken these words the Spirit of the Lord came upon them, and they were filled with joy, having received a remission of their sins, and having peace of conscience, because of the exceeding faith which they had in Jesus Christ who should come….  Mosiah 4:2-3

Replace Negatives with God’s Love

Since learning about crying to God, I strive to give my fears, weaknesses, burdens, and sins to God each day. I then ask God to replace these negatives with a greater portion of His spirit or love aiding me to become what God intended me to be.

Look to the Powers of Heaven

It is a bit of work to focus on borrowing and receiving from God, but I think it is more work to accept discontent.  I believe peace within our souls can be attained even in the midst of difficulties and imperfections so I am working diligently to replace fears with faith which is attained through the spirit and the spirit is love.  I think this is the pathway to heal through God’s grace and mercy.  I have tried leaning on the arm of flesh, and now I look to the powers of heaven to rescue me from my unsatisfied state.  I invite my audience to join me in attaining joy and peace with a pure hope that it can be so through the healing power of God’s love and faith.  We are God’s children and we all deserve to obtain joy.
