A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I was not comfortable with the idea that there was no cure for mental illness. Statistical numbers show that mental illness is incurable so I understand why NAMI curriculum includes teaching this concept. However, my inner-self tells me to continue to pray in faith for my son. I have sensed there are missing words I have not thought of to use in my miracle healing prayer, and I feel I lack knowledge.
Miracle Healing Prayer
I began to pray to ask God what words would heal my son. In my mind I thought, if God used words to create the earth, likewise, words used with faith should heal my son. I asked God to help me understand how to pray effectively when expressing a miracle healing prayer for my son.
A couple of weeks later, I was enlightened with some new knowledge as I studied the Bible. The following scripture teaches us when Jesus died for us, His stripes healed us. This scripture states we are healed (past tense).
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
Again, the following scripture says He took (past tense) and bare (past tense) our sicknesses. It has already been done.
Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Matthew 8:17
The following Bible scripture helped me to understand often we don’t recognize we have already been healed. I think this is because we don’t stop to realize Jesus has already healed us when He atoned for us.
I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them. Hosea 11:3
We are required to ask what we are seeking before we can receive.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
Notice this scripture says everyone that asks, receives. Does this mean the answer is “Yes”? Since Christ’s atonement is already done, is He waiting for us to ask so we can receive His healing? He perfectly understood what type of healing each of us would need when He atoned for us.
Spiritual healing manifesting into the physical
I think the aforementioned scriptures are telling us in the heavens, we are already healed by Christ’s blood. Our initial prayer petition allows the healing that has already occurred in eternal time, to prepare to move into the physical world when the Lord sees fit. It may be granted immediately or we may have to wait patiently and trust in the Lord’s timing.
Meditation Words for the Heart
As we wait, each time we feel doubtful or fearful, we must counter doubt and fear by repeating faith promoting words while we meditate or ponder on God’s words until our hearts penetrate what our minds believe. Remember God looks on the heart.
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
- It is not God’s will for ______ to be sick.
- What I believe in my heart, is what is God’s will
- By Jesus’ stripes _____ is healed. Hallelujah!
- I do not doubt. _____is healed by through the blood of Jesus Christ.
- God loves _____always.
- The Lord has promised ____ healing and I believe He is the healer.
- I thank you for healing ____. Thank you. Praise God!
- Jesus has overcome the world so he has overcome____problems.
- God forgives _____.
- Jesus has already healed ____when He hung on the cross.
- I trust God, etc.
Say faith-filled word phrases over and over until all doubt is removed from the heart and replaced with only continual faith. Persevere and never give up!
After we ask God to heal us, if He does not immediately answer our prayer in the physical world, we must persevere by continuing to say a miracle healing prayer and faith-filled meditation phrases each day or numerous times a day if prompted.
Miracle Healing Prayer
Father in Heaven, thank you for healing ______. I believe in you. I do not doubt. I accept this healing. By Jesus’ stripes ______ has been healed. I thank you and praise you in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Notice this prayer recognizes the healing that has already occurred by using past tense verbs. I am learning God respects simple heartfelt prayers. A simple heartfelt prayer if we persevere can become a mighty miracle healing prayer!
God bless you and may we all learn to pray with mighty faith in God!
