Opposition is part of the journey to understand and appreciate good. I believe education of darkness leads to rewards of light. The following words explain the importance of opposition in all things.
For it must needs be that there is an opposition in all things…righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad; wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one. Wherefore, if it should be one body, it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility. Wherefore, it must needs have been created for a thing of naught; wherefore, there would have been no purpose in the end of its creation. Wherefore, this thing must needs destroy the wisdom of God and his eternal purposes, and also the power, and the mercy, and the justice of God.
2 Ne. 1:7
All things must needs be a compound in one. Opposition is necessary for progression to gain intelligence. You must experience opposition to fully understand it’s opposite. This is how an education of darkness leads to rewards of light.
Adjectives change to good – The education of darkness leads to rewards of light
When enduring opposition, you experience hardships that will often include some “difficult to endure” adjectives like these listed below.
- Fear
- Negativity
- Destruction
- Evil
- Illness
- Deterioration
- Misery
- Restriction
- Bondage
- Reduction
- Entitlement
- Weakness
- Pain
When you have determined with God that the time is right, I believe God’s power of light is used to eliminate “the difficult to endure” adjectives affecting our bodies, minds, and spirits leaving you with increased light. Thus, you experience the education of darkness leads to rewards of light. Although opposition is part of the equation, all bad is turned to good through the power of light.
Low-Vibration | High-Vibration |
Fear | Love |
Negativity | Positivity |
Destruction | Creation |

Illness | Health |
Deterioration | Heal |

Moving backward in darkness and moving forward in light
It is comforting to understand that moving backward in darkness is also moving forward to gain more light. Opposition in all things is the journey to gain more light. Since you are presently enduring a dark world existence, you may not receive equal light to the darkness you have endured until you move to a “higher level” existence with increased light.
Patience is required as you receive an education of darkness leading to awaited rewards of light.
Conclusion – Moving backward is actually moving forward
You do not stay in the same place. You are either losing or gaining light. But because God’s light heals you from darkness, moving backward is actually moving forward, or you could say subtraction becomes addition! Pretty amazing and encouraging thought! So whether you are receiving an education of darkness or rewards of light, the ultimate hope patiently remains the same to attain a brighter and brighter light until the perfect day of light arrives as explained in the following words.
That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day. Doctrine and Covenants 50:24
Afterward- Why I accept some scriptures that are not in the Bible
Some have asked me why I accept some scripture that is not included in the Bible when the book of Revelations states no man should add to the Bible…
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.
Revelations 22:18
This scripture says a man cannot add to the Bible. That doesn’t mean God can’t. I believe there have been times when God reveals his words and will to a chosen earthly servant to bless his children with further intelligence. If you are open-minded and consider whether new revelation is true, it becomes possible to be blessed with added intelligence (true knowledge).
The following Bible scripture tells you, if you reject true knowledge, God will reject you.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee.
Hosea 4:6
