Daily Gratitude | Practice Gratitude

Dr. Robert Emmons is an advocate to practice gratitude and thanks.  Dr. Robert Emmons, Professor of Psychology at UC Davis has research data that proves practicing daily gratitude improves health.  He has now published his research data in books titled Thanks! and Gratitude Works!

Dr. Emmons asked 300 people to keep a journal asking three groups to do three different things:

  • Group A Write down the things they were grateful for
  • Group B Write down what annoyed them
  • Group C Write down whatever popped into their mind

At the completion of his study, group B who wrote down what annoyed them, and group C who wrote down whatever popped into their minds were exceeded by Group A (those who wrote down thing they were grateful for) in five areas of health:

  1. Higher Level of Well Being and Energy
  2. Made More Progress Toward Important Personal Goals
  3. More Positive Attitude
  4. Slept Better
  5. Exercised More

Wow, after looking at that fabulous list, it is motivation to attain and maintain a state of gratitude! Daily gratitude using the simple phrase, “Thank you!” is now being proven to be a powerful tool.

When you practice daily gratitude, you stop ignoring what makes you happy and begin spending time thinking about and examining what makes you happy and why. As you stop to think about the things that make you happy, your desire to express thanks increases.  This increase of desire to practice gratitude by expressing thanks led to increased healing because of being filled with the positive energy of gratitude.

Practice Gratitude by Writing A Letter of Thanks

Then they challenged Group A to write a letter of thanks to someone who gave them something.  After they expressed gratitude, they recorded their experience, how it felt to express thanks, in their journals. Writing down what you are grateful for is a wonderful exercise; however, it can be heightened with a bit more effort by doing one more step: Verbally expressing gratitude to someone and writing down how that made you feel.  Many reported they felt more connected to others, and it was no surprise that everyone loved hearing the words, “Thank You”!

Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstance; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Satanic Portals | Guide to Get Rid of Satanic Portals

A portal is a doorway, gate, or some type of entrance to allow someone or something to freely move from one place to another. Some portals are small and some are large enough for people to move through.  There are portals of light and on the opposite side, there are Satanic portals.   When dealing with some types of portals, special steps need to be followed in order to stay safe. This blog includes a guide on how to get rid of Satanic portals.

Opposite of Fear Both Faith and Love

The opposite of fear is both faith and love.  The opposite of fear is faith. The opposite of fear is love.

Connection Between Faith and Love

If the opposite of fear is both faith and love, this points to a connection between the power of faith and love.  This helped me to understand that faith works through the spirit and the spirit is love. I much prefer the peace I feel from God’s love than the fear I feel from men.  I feel like I am sinking into a mire of unhappiness and hopelessness when I allow the fears of men to dominate me.  I am quietly ignoring men and looking to heaven to heal through faith that works through the spirit and His spirit is love.

How do I Borrow Love from God

Because the opposite of fear is both faith and love, it is enlightening to understand as we grow in love, we are also growing in faith.  It pleases God when we ask to borrow his love so we can heal and attain more faith, joy, and peace.  So the question is,  “How do I borrow His Love from Him?” The scriptures say to cry to Him.  So I started having genuine, heartfelt conversations with God as though he is my best friend.

If the opposite of fear is both faith and love, this points to a connection between the power of faith and love. I much prefer the peace I feel from God’s love than the fear I feel from men. I feel like I am sinking into a mire of unhappiness and hopelessness when I allow the fears of men to immerse me.

Book of Mormon scripture about crying unto the Lord

….And they all cried aloud with one voice, saying: O have mercy, and apply the atoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be purified; for we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who created heaven and earth, and all things; who shall come down among the children of men.  After they had spoken these words the Spirit of the Lord came upon them, and they were filled with joy, having received a remission of their sins, and having peace of conscience, because of the exceeding faith which they had in Jesus Christ who should come….  Mosiah 4:2-3

Spiritual Shield Protection Prayer – Strong Prayer for Protection

If you are working hard to rid yourself and others of dark entities, it is important to remember to also say a strong prayer of protection. I like to begin my day by saying a spiritual shield protection prayer to request a shield of light surround the members of my family aiding in protecting them from darkness and evil. After dark entities have been removed, it is wise to protect yourself and those you love from more dark entities by offering a strong prayer for protection.

Scripture Examples

There are scripture stories like the Bible story when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were protected from harm.  Nebuchadnezzar cast them into the fire but they did not burn. I think it is likely that a spiritual shield of protection kept them safe.

And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Daniel 3:27

Another scripture story about Samuel, a Lamanite who stood on the wall of the city of Zarahemla to tell the people to repent is an example of someone who may have been surrounded with a spiritual shield of protection also.

But as many as there were who did not believe in the words of Samuel were angry with him; and they cast stones at him upon the wall, and also many shot arrows at him as he stood upon the wall; but the Spirit of the Lord was with him, insomuch that they could not hit him with their stones neither with their arrows.  Helaman 16:2

Pray to Remove Dark Entities | Free and Effective Methods

I have a friend who studied the New Testament with the intent to further his knowledge about healings in the Bible.  He discovered that exactly half, 28 out of 56, were healed of their tormenting physical and/or mental illnesses by saying a prayer to remove dark or negative entities (New Testament term is “casting out”), and the person was blessed with healing.  We can all learn how to pray to remove dark entities so we can experience healing too.

Children Left Mormonism – Surprised What I Learned About My Religion

Seven years ago, three of our children left Mormonism although we had attended church every week our whole lives.  I had heard of one and occasionally two, but never three leaving from one family at once. Our family attended church every week, we read the scriptures and prayed together on a daily basis, but yet our family was now divided.  Three of our six children left Mormonism.

Three children left Mormonism. Our family attended church every week, we read the scriptures and prayed together on a daily basis.... After studying Mormon history for seven years, our oldest daughter came to the sad conclusion what she had been taught as a Mormon student did not match her study of unaltered sources of Mormon church history from the BYU library.

Dishonesty

Our oldest daughter, Ashirya, expressed she believed the Mormon church was dishonest about their history.  At the time, I thought her questions would be cleared up as she continued to seek truth.

BYU- Brigham Young University

Ashirya told me while attending Brigham Young University, she had questions about various happenings in Mormon history.  She asked her religion professors to answer her questions, but the professors rarely had answers.

Ashirya’s diligent, thorough, and persistent nature led her to the BYU library to find answers.  Unknown to us or anyone, she quietly began a seven-year study of Mormon church history. Although she found many inaccuracies, she continued to look for answers as to why the things she had learned from her Sunday school teachers and professors were often inaccurate.

Faith Opposite of Fear

Faith Opposite of Fear

Fear, opposite of faith, is a tool of the adversary to open a doorway to allow negativity to influence or control us.

And it came to pass that Moses began to fear exceedingly; and he began to fear, he saw the bitterness of hell.  Nevertheless, calling upon God, he received strength, and he commanded, saying: Depart from me, Satan, for this one God only will I worship, which is the God of glory.  Moses 1:20

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. Job 3:25

Faith Opposite of Fear shields us from the adversary that can heal us and keep us safe from harm, accident, negativity, and evil.  In order to heal, faith is essential.
